Paid position as a student aid available at the school cafeteria. By Alicia Gan
The school cafeteria is looking to hire students as cafeteria helpers. Student assistants will be paid to help hand out food at the counter during nutrition break and lunchtime.
This position is an opportunity to get some extra cash and become familiarized with the school cafeteria staff. The lunch ladies are currently understaffed and working to their full capacity. Since all cafeteria meals are free this year, there are more students taking out lunches than usual.
Applicants will need parent permission, food handling certification, and good time management skills. Paperwork and additional details are available at the food manager's office inside the cafeteria.
Interested in applying? Ask the lunch ladies for a meeting with the manager. Tell them you’re interested in working at the school cafeteria. The best time to do so is during lunch on Block Days, or anytime the cafeteria is not crowded.
