SBAC by Carolina Martinezand apply their learning to the real world. The Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium, also know as SBAC, is a customized test that Juniors take using a computer adaptive format that contains high-quality assessments in English and math for grades 3–8 and high school. During the test, questions get harder when students answers correctly and easier when they answer incorrectly, allowing students to better demonstrate what they know. The main purpose of the SBAC is the measure a student's critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This test also allows teacher to know where students need the most support. Giving students, teachers and parents better information to help succeed in school and after.

A WE Day Celebration BY CAROLINA MARTINEZ
From tutoring kids to helping the homeless, Olympian ASAP won the opportunity to celebrate all their hard work at WE Day, a celebration of youth making a difference in their local and global communities. ASAP student leaders continue to offer their service, from helping other students, collecting food for homeless, or even raising money to built a new community. “Being able to go to WE Day was a wonderful experience for us; student leaders. We got the chance to meet new people and look at other ways of helping our world. I’m really excited for going again next year!” said Daniel; an ASAP student leader. Everyone can discover their power to change the world and now it is our turn to change the world by becoming compassionate leaders and active citizens.
