DRAMA

Olympian Drama Department: The Wizard of Oz

By Kiara Llanes
Picture
Olympian’s drama department took the school by storm with their rendition of The Wizard of Oz.
On Friday, December 2nd, Olympian High School students took part in the second showtime of the Wizard of Oz. A bustling crowd gathered in the multipurpose room filled with excitement. Snack and drink vendors worked along the sides of the multipurpose room to appease the audience. It was a full house. Playful set designs, whimsical costuming, and charismatic actors took up the stage.

The actors gave great performances with wonderful musical numbers. Dorothy in particular had a standout performance during “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” The dancers gave it their all and captivated the audience with their stunts. Altogether, this was a spectacular production showcasing Olympian’s amazing talents.
